The Kimpton Hotel Arras has debuted in downtown Asheville, North Carolina, followed by the transformation of the landmark BB&T building, also known as the tallest fixture in the region.
The project was realized by two Georgia-based firms, Reese Vanderbilt & Associates and Winford Lindsay Associates, with the latter overseeing the design of the hotel’s 128 accommodations that channel the nature-centric energy of the town through floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountain.
Punctuating the arrival experience is a vibrant lobby decorated with traditional folk art by nearly 20 commissioned local artisans, alongside an over 300 square feet of terrace engaging with the eclectic downtown scene. In addition, the building includes 54 one- and two-bedroom luxury condos, with ten of them available for short-term and long-term rentals.
