The Langham, Boston is set to reopen in summer 2020 following updates from locally based firm Dyer Brown, in collaboration with London-based practice Richmond International.
The landmark property’s refreshed loft suites will be clad with two-story, brass-embossed windows, while the Chairman’s suite will feature a king bedroom, and living room appointed with a baby grand piano, pantry, and kitchen. Each of the hotel’s fully overhauled accommodations will be equipped with new marble bathrooms as well as New England-inspired décor.
The enhanced entrance of the historic concept will be detailed with slate awnings and light fixtures, leading the visitors into the lobby drenched in jewel tones and anchored by a cozy fireplace. Adorning the lobby, the collection of locally sourced artwork will further illustrate the city’s history. The hotel’s amenities will include an outdoor terrace attached to the onsite bar and restaurant concept, a 24-hour fitness center, 200-person Lincoln Ballroom, and the spa, Chuan Body + Soul, with a glass-enclosed indoor pool.
