The Ritz-Carlton, Philadelphia is planning a multimillion-dollar renovation to begin this October.
Originally built in 1908 as a reproduction of the Pantheon, the building formerly housed the Girard Trust Company.
Designed by Wimberly Interiors, the renovation will upgrade all guestrooms, meeting spaces, and public spaces. Other additions will include a refurbished lobby, and a revised F&B program featuring a new restaurant, bar, and lounge.
Neutral colors will complement newly curated artwork with pops of metallic and bronze inspired by Philadelphia’s urban setting.
Guestrooms will also feature a neutral color palette, however green and blue hues will punctuate the spaces with notes of bronze and nickel. Meeting spaces will nod to the building’s history in their motifs and furnishings.
The hotel will remain open during renovations, which are slated for completion in the spring of 2016.
