Grupo Habita is preparing for the launch of two new properties in Chicago’s Wicker Park/Bucktown neighborhood. Both the Robey and the Hollander will debut this fall as the brand’s second U.S. locations following the launch of the Hotel Americano in New York.
The Robey, designed by Brussels-based Nicolas Schuybroek Architects and Stekene, Beligum-based Marc Merckx Interiors, honors the Art Deco style of its home, the Northwest Tower. All 69 guestrooms will feature a warm, contemporary aesthetic and 180-degree views of the city’s skyline. In addition to the onsite restaurant Café Robey, the hotel will also include a second-floor lounge and the exclusive rooftop lounge Up & Up. A rooftop pool and cabana club restaurant will debut next spring.
The Hollander
Adjacent to the Robey will be the Hollander, housed within the historic five-story Hollander Fireproof Warehouse. French design studios Ciguë and Delordinaire have crafted the hotel, which offers 66 beds, 12 private rooms, and eight shared rooms as well as a bar and café. The Hollander is Grupo Habita’s first Social Stay property where guests can engage with one another prior to and during their visits via Instagram.
