Scottsdale-based interior design firm Testani Design Troupe, and Phoenix-based architecture firm MoD A+P have designed the Spa House at the Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain, a private wellness retreat set to open in April. Formerly the Casa del Sano, the property has undergone a total renovation, including the addition of four new neighboring casitas.
Nestled in the Camelback Mountains, the 3,500-square-foot, four-bedroom Spa House accommodates up to eight guests in its three king bedrooms and one guestroom with two double beds. Coupled with four neighboring 875-square-foot casitas, the entire enclave will accommodate up to 16 guests.
The open flow layout of the Spa House features a full kitchen, dining room, and living room that opens onto a wraparound patio, pool, and an expansive lawn. The villa includes a private spa treatment room, as well as a movement studio for private classes and personal training.Â
Each of the four casitas has a private entrance, as well as king beds, soaking tubs, and outdoor showers. Nature is emphasized with 12-foot-high glass walls leading to a 330-square-foot private outdoor patio that offers sweeping views of the Camelback Mountains.
Features throughout the sanctuary include specialty snacks; in-room services that include aromatherapy massages and the delivery of coloring books for relaxation; and signature linens and throws.Â
Guests at the Spa House will have access to the Sanctuary’s 53-acre property, as well as the Sanctuary Spa, fitness center, tennis courts, infinity pool, Elements restaurant, Jade bar, and spa concierge.Â
