This spring, luxury boutique concept Thompson Hollywood is slated to open in the heart of the city’s Vinyl District. Owned by Relevant Group and managed by Hyatt, the elegant, avant-garde project will be crafted by London-based studio Tara Bernerd & Partners to reflect the musical vibrancy and history of the setting. “Thompson Hollywood is set to become the new go-to destination in the heart of Los Angeles,” Tara Bernerd says. “Through the interplay of industrial finishes with layers of rich texture, midcentury furniture, and a refined selection of artwork, we have sought to imbue an edgy, yet welcoming atmosphere into the design.”
In addition to its 190 guestrooms, including 24 suites, Thompson Hollywood will be home to two immersive culinary concepts, a fitness center, and 15,000 square feet of meeting and event space. The hotel will also be crowned with a rooftop pool and lounge. “For the interior architecture of the property,” Bernerd adds, “we looked to influences from the West Coast modernist movement, intermingled with old school Hollywood glamour, whilst maintaining a contemporary and elegant approach throughout.”
