The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas has partnered with Tihany Design, Daun Curry, and Richmond International to craft 21 exclusive penthouses in the resort’s Boulevard Tower. Envisioned to maximize the sweeping views of Las Vegas, the penthouses will range in size from 2,000 to 5,000 square feet with seven unique designs. A private gaming salon will be available exclusively for penthouse guests.
Adam D. Tihany will draw inspiration from the luxury residential interiors of Beverly Hills and New York while also honoring the grandeur of Las Vegas. Beverly Hills-inspired spaces will include curved shapes, limestone accents, and airy touches while New York-style rooms will be defined with straight lines, dark wood, and abstract structures. The New York-based firm will also craft the 2,300-square-foot gaming salon, designed as an Art Deco-style men’s club with natural light and striking modern artwork. Bold, bright colored furniture and accessories will pop against textured wood panels and custom mosaic-style carpeting.
New York-based Curry’s refined design will incorporate the glamour of Las Vegas in the open-concept penthouses. Ochre, coriander, and blush tones will be featured in the eclectic interiors, inspired by international locales. Varying textures will infuse the space with warmth alongside custom furniture commissioned from local artisans. Highlights of her design include pony-hair walls, hand-cut Italian glass mosaic murals, and handcrafted marble grottos.
Provocative artwork and whimsical sculptural installations inspired by both the digital art installations in the lobby and the significant pieces throughout the resort will be a key feature of London-based Richmond International’s design. Handcrafted 24-karat gold resin and verre eglomise panels, contemporary furniture, and two color palettes—one anchored in teal and jewel tones and the other in cobalt blue—give the penthouse a distinct identity.
The penthouses are slated for completion at the end of 2016 and in early 2017.
