Treehouse Hotels, a free-spirited hospitality brand founded by Starwood Hotels chairman Barry Sternlicht, is heading to South Florida.
Developed by Keyah Real Estate Group, Treehouse Hotel Miami Beach is slated to open in early 2029, bringing the brand’s nostalgic ethos to the heart of Miami Beach’s historic district.
Art Deco guides the design vision
The project reimagines two landmark 1940s-era properties—the Art Deco Haddon Hall and Campton Apartments—alongside a new-build tower crowned with an ocean-view rooftop.
Designed by Rottet Studio, the transformation draws from the site’s Art Deco heritage while weaving in Streamline Moderne, Spanish Colonial Revival, and Miami Modern influences, resulting in a layered narrative that bridges past and present.
Inside, the hotel reflects Treehouse’s signature design language: warm, tactile, and intentionally unfussy. Natural materials, handcrafted details, and textured finishes create spaces that feel relaxed and lived-in. Many of the hotel’s oversized suites will offer ocean views.
Social spaces at Treehouse Hotel Miami Beach
At the heart of the property is a lush courtyard anchored by a pool surrounded by tropical landscaping, envisioned as a social hub that transitions from morning coffee to evening gatherings.
Additional amenities include multiple dining and lounge concepts, a rooftop pool, fitness offerings, and a spa and wellness club designed to serve both hotel guests and the local community.
“Treehouse Hotels is about capturing that carefree joy you had as a kid, when every day felt like an adventure, you made friends easily, real or imagined, and anything was possible,” says Sternlicht. “Miami Beach has that same spirit of community, creativity, and fun. Treehouse Hotel Miami Beach will be a place where guests can relax, laugh, and reconnect with that carefree spirit.”
