Viceroy Hotel Group has announced plans to develop the Viceroy Bocas del Toro Panama, a coastal resort and residences spanning 457 acres with three miles of private beach. Costa Rica and Panama-based Zurcher Arquitectos will oversee development and international studio Wimberly Interiors will craft the property’s modern interior design.
In addition to 186 guestrooms, 42 overwater villas will feature views of the Caribbean Sea and private plunge pools and access to the ocean via decks. The outdoor design has been carefully considered to honor the eco-friendly locale, which permits only the use of electric cars and sustainable technology.
Eight restaurants and lounges will be offered onsite, from elite fine dining to a casual beach grill. Other facilities include a fitness center, cinema lounge, library, indoor meeting space, and a spa with private rejuvenation pools.
The Viceroy Bocas del Toro Panama will also include 42 one- and two-bedroom residences for sale featuring indoor-outdoor living space.
The property is slated to debut in 2019.
