The Viceroy Hotel Group has taken over management of Hotel Mar Adentro and will update and relaunch the resort as the Viceroy Los Cabos this spring. The hotel will serve as the 14th property in the brand portfolio as a member of its Viceroy Icon Collection. Upon reopening, the Viceroy Los Cabos will be home to 194 guestrooms, suites, and villas as well 50 residences.
Guadalajara, Mexico-based firm AI Arquitectura de Interiores will lead the redesign efforts, which include an energetic new arrival experience. Along with a beach bar and beach pool, the fitness center and spa will be expanded. Two of the four onsite eateries will be structurally upgraded and reimagined. Additional amenities include a cinema room, flexible meeting spaces, and new F&B venues.
