Luxe urban retreat Villa Copenhagen has debuted in the Danish capital. London-based Universal Design Studio oversaw the design of many of the property’s public spaces, as well as its 381 guestrooms and suites.
A medley of chic social environments are housed onsite, like the Courtyard, which was crafted by the in-house design team at Copenhagen-based Shamballa Jewels, and is equipped to host pop-up events, live performances, and exhibitions. The space balances an Eastern philosophy with a modern Nordic aesthetic.
London design firm Goddard Littlefair spearheaded the hotel’s five F&B options. T37 Bar & Lounge evokes a cheeky ethos against a backdrop of restored opulence, while the Playroom is punctuated by abundant gaming, literature, and plush furniture. Kontrast brasserie serves as the hotel’s all-day dining concept, and is outfitted with midcentury décor to compose a contemporary identity. Crowning Villa Copenhagen, the rooftop is home to a bar and a sustainable lap pool.
Spread across five floors, accommodations reach a luxurious peak with the two-story Universal penthouse suite. Linked by a spiral staircase, the suite features a lounge space in addition to its master bedroom. Danish architect Eva Harlou also contributed to the property by crafting the fully sustainable Earth suite, which comprises recycled materials and textiles.
