The Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown is slated to debut this fall in Lower Manhattan. Located on the same block as the iconic Woolworth Building, the hotel is located in an 82-story skyscraper designed by Robert A.M. Stern.
Varying aesthetic and texture combinations from New York and Toronto-based studio Yabu Pushelberg are at once modern and welcoming. Guests will be greeted by a two-story lobby drawing influence from the frenetic atmosphere of the neighborhood with original artwork displayed against rich wooden walls and woven metal screens, while muted jewel-toned fabrics, wool carpeting, and brushed bronze accents add to the atmosphere intended to encourage casual socializing.
Also debuting at the new hotel is steakhouse CUT by Wolfgang Puck, the famed chef’s first Manhattan eatery. The 86-seat dining room, 32-seat lounge, and 10-seat bar will boast interiors by French designer Jacques Garcia and architecture by locally based STRATA Architects. A private dining space will seat up to 31 guests.
Visitors will be invited to unwind at the seven-treatment room Spa at Four Seasons, bearing a light palette of white tay wood walls and oak and travertine floors. Two-story windows at the 75-foot indoor lap pool offer city views, and a sundeck is located adjacent to the pool. The light-filled nearly 3,000-square-foot Greenwich ballroom also features views of the downtown skyline, while Chambers and Warren salons are available for smaller gatherings.
Housing 185 guestrooms and 157 Four Seasons Private Residences, the hotel includes 28 suites that embrace a residential aesthetic, dressed in white linens and bronze lamps. Ranging in size from 400 to 2,400 square feet, guestrooms provide living spaces with sofas, leather chairs, and a multifunctional table.
