IHG’s Hotel Indigo is experiencing a successful year with the opening of 13 hotels and signing of 16 deals globally. Among the projects are the debut of Hotel Indigo New York City Chelsea and plans for properties in Hong Kong, Liverpool, and Glasgow. Coming up for the upscale boutique brand: a new property for Shanghai next May, marking the first opening in the Asia Pacific region. IHG hopes to open 15 Hotel Indigos in 2010, with long-term plans for 250 properties worldwide by 2020.
