Palais Stephanie in Cannes, France, has officially reopened after investing $55 million into an extensive renovation. The hotel’s redesign pays tribute to the legendary film stars of past Cannes International Film Festivals, such as Sophia Loren, Brigitte Bardot, and Elizabeth Taylor.
A Palme d’Or sculpture (named after the festival’s top prize) serves as a focal in the lobby, where contemporary furniture, muted creams, and contrasting colors define the hotell’s new look. In the 261 guestrooms and suites, hand-stitched leather accents, upholstered walls, and dramatic black and white portraits of iconic film stars combine for a glamorous ambiance.
The hotel also features a rooftop swimming pool and bar, La Scena Lounge Bar and Restaurant, a full casino, and nearly 13,000 square feet of meeting space.
