A former art gallery in the heart of Mexico City’s Juárez neighborhood has been reborn as the colorful Niddo Café. The 580-square-foot space was crafted by locally based design studio MYT + GLVDK to maximize its footprint and promote a sense of community.
Niddo radiates a vibrant color palette that accentuates the Art Deco-style of the café. Clean and curved lines define each furniture piece, while materials like Rosso Levanto marble infuse an upscale ethos into the space. Tropical woods such as tzalam evoke warmth alongside the burnt red hues of the interior’s raw textiles and carpentry lacquered in crimson.
