New York-based Handel Architects will spearhead the design of the $1.2 billion mixed-use Angels Landing site in Los Angeles. Slated to debut in late 2024, the 2.2-acre site will comprise two towers. Philadelphia-based landscape architecture firm Olin will also serve on the project to oversee the design of more than 50,000 square feet of public open space.
The mixed-use project will include an 88-story skyscraper and a 25-story tower that will be linked via a sky bridge. In addition to two hotels from sbe, including a 192-room SLS and 289-room Mondrian, the towers will house 400 apartments, 250 condominiums; 20 apartments would be set aside as affordable housing.
The project will be home to retail and restaurant space, including a food hall, as well as a charter elementary school. Planned for the project is 57,000 square feet of open space, including a 25,400-square-foot plaza.
