WeWork parent company the We Company has launched a new public workspace as well as a retail space in New York’s Flatiron neighborhood. In addition to a café and a coworking area accessible to any visitor free of membership, the Made by We retail space includes items ranging from apparel to electronics from WeWork member companies.
Designed by the in-house design team, the new venture includes 100 individual workstations that are rentable by the hour as well as six meeting rooms that can host groups of four to 10 people. The location also is home to the Bluestone Lane café, which is decorated with yellow lights that create a solar motif across the front of its counter.
“Everything we do at the We Company, from the spaces we curate to the service offerings we provide, is intended to create meaningful human connections,” says WeWork partner Julie Rice. “Made by We was launched with a vision to connect the We community with the rest of the world, and provide people with the best on-demand workspace, services, and products, no membership required.”
