Sbe has announced a partnership with Be Grand and CEO Nicolas Carrancedo to bolster the expansion of the Mondrian brand with the launch of the Mondrian Hotel & Residence in Mexico City, its first hotel in the city.
The Mondrian Polanco Hotel & Residences will be the first of 10 sbe-branded developments to roll out across the city over the next five years. Groundbreaking is set to take place in the first quarter of this year and slated for completion in 2021.
Designed by local architecture firm Colonnier y Asociados, the Mondrian Hotel development’s tower will be crowned with a rooftop garden ballroom as well as a pooldeck and infinity pool. The signature sbe concept Katsuya will open onsite alongside another dining option and a soon-to-be-announced mixology-driven bar. A spa and fitness center will also be featured. The property will total 126 residences and 144 guestrooms including 15 luxury suites.
The second planned project, Mondrian Del Valle, is slated to arrive in 2022 with 248 branded residences.
