Design firm OSKLO has revealed Studio OSKLO, a showroom and gallery in Los Angeles’ historic Sunset Plaza.
Founded by Arya and Michael Martin, the studio drew inspiration from Paris’s Left Bank, channeling the charm of antique salons, to create a space that showcases aged elegance.
Housed in a 1940s loft-like townhouse, the bi-level space features museum-quality objects, including pieces from the Martins’ personal travels, private collections, and international auctions.
The interior—defined by a palette of earthy clay and taupe, alongside lighter creams and whites—feels both tranquil and lived-in.
Guests encounter artifacts as they explore the gallery, from 18th-century marble torsos to striking cubist bronze sculptures, that each tell a story. The space invites engagement, transcending the traditional gallery experience with a sense of intimacy and interaction.
“In Paris, we often lose endless afternoons on the Left Bank behind Quai Voltaire and the small antique salons along Rue de Lille,” the design duo reflects. “These small spaces were the inspiration of our Studio OSKLO—highly curated antique furniture and museum quality décor located within beautiful salons infused with incense and the smell of old.”
