Six Senses Bhutan has revealed its fifth and final lodge, Six Senses Bumthang. Spread across five valleys, the resort concept welcomes its newest lodge on the hillside of a pine forest, which has earned it the nickname “Forest Within a Forest.”
The Six Senses Bumthang lodge comprises eight suites, all of which include spacious balconies overlooking the tranquil valley. A pine sapling is planted in an open-air vestibule at the heart of each suite to reinforce the bond between indoor and outdoor environments. The two-bedroom villa includes 2,422 square feet of living space, perfect for groups traveling together.
The interior design is subtle in nature, composed of a neutral palette of earth tones, natural materials, and handwoven fabrics. Weathered timber lines the walls, floors, and ceilings.
Tongtshang—or “pine forest”—is the lodge’s cozy, fireside eatery, which offers hearty local dishes. Beyond living and dining spaces, the private spa facility offers traditional treatment services such as traditional dotsho hot stone baths or the Bhutanese-inspired signature Hingsangsa Zoni bathing ritual.
