Masquespacio—a multidisciplinary design studio based in Valencia, Spain—has completed a new project in Milan, Italy.
We Are Emma, a beauty salon specializing in hair treatments and styling, seamlessly blends contemporary aesthetics with functionality to create an environment that is harmonious and inspiring.
The design narrative of the salon exudes joy and playfulness, evident in the use of color and organic shapes. Vibrant hues and whimsical forms adorn the space, creating a lighthearted atmosphere that doesn’t compromise on sophistication. Materials such as stained natural wood, marble, and stainless steel add a refined touch.
Upon entering We Are Emma, guests are greeted by a retail space that showcases hairstyling products for purchase against an organic-shaped backdrop and pink color palette. An arch-shaped opening serves as a transition from the retail store into the salon area.
The hairstyling area also boasts a bar, inviting customers to enjoy a drink while waiting for appointments. This innovative inclusion transforms We Are Emma into a social hub as well.
Hairstyling pods donned in marble and gold accents strike a balance between privacy and openness, while the hair washing station—defined by soft ambient lighting and the gentle hum of running water—is tucked away from the rest of the salon.
