Inside the workshop of Meyer Davis Studio

Why we love our Soho office > It’s a completely open loft with big, beautiful, industrial-style windows and a nice, tall ceiling. We keep it airy on purpose, with a long desk for design work. We designed the fixtures and furniture like the bookshelves ourselves.-GD

Our work culture > It’s organized, civilized chaos. We made a space where people can collaborate and share ideas. No one can handle a big project alone. Everyone’s happy here-our clients even like coming down for meetings.-WM

About that globe > We bought it for a client originally, but we never sent it to him because we loved it so much. It’s made of black Lucite. I see a lot of smaller ones in design shops, but nothing like this.-GD

On those bookshelves >
Having a library isn’t even about architecture books. We like keeping a whole range of subjects: furniture, art, style, fashion, and food.-WM

We think it’s important to be inspired. The books are always being used, too. I can’t ever find the one I’m looking for.-GD

In the reference library > All our fabrics are coded. We look at them by their texture and color. We do the same thing with stones and woods.-WM
