What we’re looking forward to: Italy’s colonial-era influence on Tianjin’s Hebei District is still felt on Italian Style Street. That early-20th-century spirit is also captured in the Patina Tianjin, just north of the Haihe River. Its 145 guestrooms are spread across a collection of 17 19th-century buildings conceived by an Italian architect, and look onto a hushed courtyard through Italianate windows. This ode to classicism is balanced with sustainable, contemporary touches like circadian lighting.
