Palazzo Petrvs, Orvieto, Italy
Hotelier Raffaele Tysserand transformed a 15th-century Umbrian palace into the Palazzo Petrvs. Honoring its origins as a private residence built in 1475, the renovation preserved historic features like original ceilings, frescoes, and a stone fireplace. Drawing inspiration from Orvieto’s iconic architecture, black and white stripes mirror the nearby Duomo di Orvieto, while a deconsecrated church is now the hotel’s restaurant, Coro, featuring understated furnishings that respect the space’s heritage.
