Named after the tradition of fishermen who keep watch over oysters as they grow to harvest, Watchman’s Seafood & Spirit, located in Atlanta’s Krog Street Market, evokes a charming nautical theme that complements its laidback vibe thanks to a light and airy design from locally based architecture and design practice Square Feet Studio.
The third collaboration between Square Feet Studio and restaurant owner Kimball House, Watchman’s Seafood & Spirits has an open feel with pops up color that recall the maritime theme.
Each of the interior’s original bars remained intact, while finishes, casework, lighting, and paneling were restored.
Abundant greenery installed along wall shelving and suspended from the ceiling’s old steel structure punctuate the bright space.
Tabletops are clad with a vivid teal lacquer that pops against minimalist built-in booths and hardwood floors.
Dressed in mint lacquer paint, upcycled bentwood barstools sit atop charming pink and green cement tiles in the bar.
