Designer Marcela Caycedo, president of Espacios Design Studio in Long Island City, took inspiration from the 34-room Brooklyn A Hotel’s previous life as a circa-1910 industrial building. Existing wood columns and beams and brick walls were left exposed, while wallcoverings feature historical facts and pictures of local neighborhoods.
