The Spanish brand’s North American flagship, Room Mate Grace is a recent Midtown renovation from Madrid-based Lorenzo Castillo, who enveloped the 139-key hotel’s guestrooms in boldly floral, vaguely Oriental gold, bronze, and indigo tones. The designer says he “wanted to create a hotel with a sophisticated ambiance using lacquer, handmade wallpapers, velvet fabrics, and other textures.”
