A former lawyer’s office on the ground floor of a historic building in New York’s Tribeca neighborhood is now an atmospheric showcase for Egg Collective. The flagship location, designed by the studio’s founders Crystal Ellis, Hillary Petrie, and Stephanie Beamer, is sunny and residential in spirit, comprising two showrooms that frame a duo of intimate, vignette-like spaces.

A custom, polished stainless steel reception desk is accentuated by bespoke details, like soft bouclé and wool basketweave upholstery designed in collaboration with textile artist Hiroko Takeda. All architectural and design elements thoughtfully interact with Egg Collective’s furniture pieces, which are woven into the rooms as if it were a home, including a new lineup of designs launched in tandem with the opening.

“We envisioned an environment that conveyed our brand’s emphasis on quality, natural materials, and craftsmanship. From the limestone floors to the sheer curtain-wrapped entryway and the specialty wall treatments, we created an engaging, compelling, and sophisticated experience,” says Ellis.

Those airy finishes in hues of pale green and dusty pink cloaking the thick, curved walls are sourced from the Matte collection by Callidus Guild, exclusively represented by Egg Collective. The walls also play a key role in the showroom’s second mission as a thought-provoking art gallery, hosting regular group exhibitions curated by fine art photographer Tealia Ellis-Ritter.
