After seeing their work in a nearby restaurant, Miami restaurateur David Tornek and business partner chef Sean Brasel (formerly of Touch restaurant) enlisted the help of Anthea Bosch-Moschini and Arezoo Shafizadeh, co-founders of Manhattan-based Studio A Design for their newest venture Meat Market. "[It’s] a fresh, new take on a steak restaurant," says Bosch-Moschini. "We listened very closely to [their] request for a feminine steak restaurant."

With that in mind, the designers used lighter and warmer tones set against highly tactile materials and dramatic lighting. "The design is inspired by an airy barn-like space featuring distressed woods with metal rivets, then softened with feminine accents such as iridescent metallic wall tiles and upholstered panels of cream-colored faux horse-hair flanking walls on either side of the dining room," says Shafizadeh. There’s also a terrazzo floor, a double bar with backlit shelving and a black marble bar top, an abundance of gold fabrics and polished nickel metal, end-block wood tabletops, and four chef’s tables set alongside gold metal chain links interspersed with wine corks.

But the highlight? Lucite fins suspended from the ceiling set with flame-colored lights form a glowing runway that runs the length of the dining room and ends in a glowing floor-to-ceiling wine display.
