Foster Supply Hospitality, the hospitality group behind a collection of Catskills region small hotels and restaurants including the DeBruce, Kenoza Hall, the Arnold House, North Branch Inn, Nine River Road, and the non-profit A Single Bite, has announced the debut of its latest property, the 27-room Hotel Darby. This riverfront lodge from husband-and-wife team Sims Foster and Kirsten Harlow Foster, situated on the Delaware River, just minutes from Narrowsburg, New York, is located two hours Northwest of New York City. The hotel features an abundance of outdoor activities including a private trail system, river access, fire pits, a hammock grove and more. Light local fare from producers and purveyors around the Delaware River Valley and the Catskills are served from a centrally located bar area with lounge seating and a wood-burning Malm fireplace.
As with all Foster Supply hotels, Hotel Darby’s design was led in-house by the group’s co-owner and embraces its building’s history. Its design and purpose have been carefully composed to bring the building’s origins into its next chapter. A nod to the building’s 1960s roots, the hotel features a playful midcentury modern design with bold pops of oranges and blues against cane woven textures. The bar and common spaces feature custom pieces designed and built on property.
