The Wilde has unveiled its first members club, the Wilde Milan, in the heart of Brera’s creative epicenter.
The 20,000-square-foot villa—formerly home to Italian businessman Santo Versace—has been transformed into a refined retreat, offering an array of dining concepts, a secluded garden, a rooftop space, a library, a cigar lounge, and curated events.
Originally designed in 1954 by architects Carlo De Carli and Antonio Carminati, the modernist villa has been reimagined by Italian designer Fabrizio Casiraghi.
Each space within the Wilde Milan is imbued with its own identity, showcasing a blend of local craftsmanship and modern sophistication. Patterns by Milanese textile brand Arjumand’s World complement American walnut furnishings, while contrasting materials like pink lacquered wood, velvet, and travertine create a dynamic aesthetic.
The club’s diverse interiors reflect its varied purposes. Arturo’s, the cigar lounge, is enveloped in warm brown leathers for a rich, intimate ambiance while the garden’s red striped fabrics and AVA Rooftop’s blue-striped accents channel a Mediterranean-inspired vibe. Throughout the club, an eclectic art collection curated by Ed Tang’s Art Bureau features works by both Milanese and international artists.
“Finding the right location and building for the Wilde Milan has been integral to our vision and we believe we have found everything we were looking for in the former home of Santo Versace,” says Gary Landesberg, chairman and founder of the Wilde. “It is in a central location yet doesn’t feel too busy and has unrivaled outdoor spaces, which we know members are increasingly prioritizing when looking for a club that reflects their needs.”
“The Wilde Milan will embrace old-school service and hospitality with a forward thinking approach, creating a place where two worlds can coexist in perfect harmony,” he adds.
Following its Milan debut, the Wilde will expand to other cities, including New York, London, and Los Angeles. Each club will be tailored to reflect the character of its host city.
