Langham Hospitality Group has entered into an agreement with Anhui Land Investment Company to develop and manage The Langham, Hefei.
Located in Hefei, the capital city of China’s Anhui province, the property is positioned in a mixed-use residential and office space complex located five minutes from the municipal government building.
“We are very pleased to introduce the Langham brand to Hefei, an important city in the East China region,” says Robert Warman, CEO of Langham Hospitality Group. “The Langham, Hefei will be a strategic addition to our group’s portfolio and will introduce an element of luxury in the market, together with its namesakes located in key destinations across four continents.”
Interiors will be developed by West Palm Beach, Florida-based Bilkey Llinas Design. The 338-room hotel will include 36 one– and two-bedroom suites ranging from 775 to 3,122 square feet.
Amenities will include the Victorian-inspired, two-story domed Palm Court tearoom, an international buffet, a specialty bar, the T’ang Court signature restaurant, the Chuan spa with six treatment rooms, an exercise studio, an indoor heated pool, and nine meeting rooms ranging from 646 to 15,600 square feet.
All meeting spaces will feature spacious pillar-free design, high ceilings, and natural lighting. Guests will find direct access to the meeting spaces via a separate event lobby and reception desk.
The Langham, Hefei is slated to open in 2016.
