Modern American eatery 5Church has been unveiled in Atlanta—the third location in the concept’s portfolio. The restaurant previously opened outposts in Charleston and Charlotte, and has been adapted for Atlanta diners with locally sourced artwork and ingredients.
A neo-Victorian influence marks the décor of the 180-seat restaurant, which also offers outdoor seating on the sidewalk and rooftop patio. Large black leather banquettes and novel chandeliers and light fixtures create a definitive sense of place alongside locally sourced pieces from artists J.D. Koth and William Massey. A ceiling design from Charlotte-based artist Jon Norris is depicts a white-on-black handpainted transcription Sun Tzu’s The Art of War. Subtly complementing the white concrete bar, the artwork is a nod to the owners’ philosophy of “there is only we.”
