Saison Hospitality has announced the reopening of sustainable seafood restaurant Angler Los Angeles. A facelift led by Built Inc reinvigorates the dining room, orienting the open layout around a central hearth and adding dividing walls for a heightened sense of intimacy.
“Our goal was to elevate the guests’ dining experience through the employment of high style and elegant materials,” says Built president and founder John Sofio. “The overall design concept of comfort and experience through food and fashion combines in a sophisticated offering for our guests. Angler is well known for its unique and well-heeled culinary superiority, and our design strives to complement this soul of Angler’s ethos.”
Italian white oak wide boards ground the interior in warmth, complementary to cedar walls and the warm glow emitted from the kitchen. Low mahogany wainscoting walls also contribute to the rich palette along with carefully curated lighting. Sculptural chandeliers descend from the ceiling while stylized sconces are installed in each of Angler’s intimate enclaves. Amorphous brass pendants were also positioned above the lounge to exude a frenetic quality reminiscent of life underwater.
