The former King’s Club at the Badrutt’s Palace Hotel in St. Moritz, Switzerland has been reborn as the King’s Social House. British chef and restaurateur Jason Atherton collaborated on the revamp of the famed nightlife concept in collaboration with London-based studio Rosendale Design. Atherton’s first restaurant in Switzerland, King’s Social House, is ripe with British influences while also embracing the best qualities of the alpine region.
One of nine onsite F&B options, the restaurant, bar, and nightclub evokes a chic but informal flair synonymous with the signature style of St. Moritz. The concept is conceived as a convivial dining and dancing environment that evolves into a high-energy nightclub punctuated with low lighting and bespoke furniture as the evening progresses. A mural from Swiss street artist duo Bane + Pest serves as the centerpiece of the interior, while a medley of traditional, locally sourced materials is featured in contemporary arrangements. Gray pine paneling upcycled from old field barns are installed alongside timber tabletops and slate columns reminiscent of chalet rooflines.
