Drai’s Enterprises and Cachet Hotel Group (CHG) have formed a joint venture to open Asia’s first Drai’s-branded venue, Drai’s Noir, which will debut at Shanghai’s Cachet Boutique hotel in December as part of an expansion plan in China.
The approximately 10,700-square-foot venue will be located on the hotel’s second floor overlooking Nanjing Road. Designed in-house by Drai’s founder Victor Drai, the nightlife venue will comprise the Grand Staircase, Library, Main Living Room, and Bedroom, along with an ultra lounge and VIP room.
While a series of niches will provide space for small groups, activity will center on the Main Living Room, which will host a roster of rotating DJs. All spaces will feature a Las Vegas-inspired aesthetic.
Additional Drai’s venues are planned for Hangzhou and Wuhan, along with a second standalone location in Shanghai. The joint venture’s portfolio will include the Drai’s Nightclub, Drai’s Noir, and Drai’s Supper Club brands.
“The opening of the Drai’s Noir in Shanghai demonstrates how well this brand resonates with sophisticated Chinese guests desiring a higher standard of nightlife and entertainment options,” says Bryan Meng of Drai’s Asia. “The goal is to build upon Drai’s exceptional quality of product and service and expand into Chinese cities that embody the brand’s exclusive and high-energy profile.”
