Zaytinya, nestled within the Ritz-Carlton, South Beach, marks chef José Andrés’ return to Miami. The new Mediterranean restaurant is the latest addition to José Andrés Group and the third Zaytinya outpost.
“We could not be happier to return to South Beach with this concept,” says José Andrés Group president Sam Bakhshandehpour. “What you are about to experience is a journey between two worlds, navigated with imagination and wonder by our team.”
Zaytinya immerses guests in an atmosphere that effortlessly captures the essence of the Eastern Mediterranean. The space is bustling and airy, thoughtfully designed with warm bronze metals, white oak woods, and playful pops of blue that recall the waters of the Mediterranean.
Central to the Zaytinya concept is the collaborative partnership between chef José Andrés and Aglaia Kremezi, Zaytinya’s chef partner. Their shared passion for authentic cuisine gave rise to the Zaytinya concept over 15 years ago, with Kremezi’s guidance an instrumental part in preserving the menu’s authenticity.
Already an iconic institution in Washington, DC, the Zaytinya brand expanded its footprint with the opening of a New York location designed by Rockwell Group in 2022 at the Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad. The new South Beach location represents the second collaboration between Flag Luxury Group and José Andrés Group.
