Ritz-Carlton has announced the launch of its second hotel in the Big Apple. Soaring 50 stories above Madison Square Park, the 250-room Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad boasts a singular, contemporary elegance crafted by an elite design team comprising Rafael Viñoly Architects, Rockwell Group, Lázaro Rosa-Violán Studio, Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, and SUSURRUS International.
“The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad represents a milestone moment in the evolution of the Ritz-Carlton brand,” says Donna McNamara, vice president and global brand leader for Ritz-Carlton. “With an exquisite design that blends the best of the brand and the destination, combined with the finest amenities, culinary offerings, and highly personalized service, the Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad delivers an experience tailored to today’s luxury guest.”
A key attraction of the new hotel is Zaytinya, a Mediterranean concept on the ground floor led by chef José Andrés. The 140-room restaurant was designed by Rockwell Group with a palette of bronze metals and white oak offset by pops of blue and soft curves that channel the locales that inspire the menu. In addition to the lobby lounge and bar, nightlife destination Nubeluz crowns the hotel with a glitzy design by Martin Brudnizki that channels Old World New York glam through a modern lens. Designed by Lázaro Rosa-Violan Studio, the avant-garde Bazaar by José Andrés is slated to debut later this year as well.
Additional amenities include 10,000 square feet of meeting space, the Ritz-Carlton Club Lounge, and the 6,800-square-foot Ritz-Carlton Spa and Fitness Center, which houses eight treatment rooms and separate sauna and steam room facilities.
Nineteen suites and 16 one- and two-bedroom penthouse residences are featured among the accommodations, all of which boast refined floral accents that detail natural elements and textures. Soft lines reminiscent of petals contrast sleek lines inspired by New York’s verticality and grid, while neutral hues and bespoke furnishings infuse a residential-style ambiance across each sundrenched room. Located on the hotel’s 37th floor, the 2,100-square-foot Ritz-Carlton suite comprises its own private wellness room, separate living and dining areas, a media room, and 194-square-foot walk-in closet.
