Just in time for New York Fashion Week (NYFW), Petite Disco has joined Manhattan’s nightlife scene, reviving the magic of old-school New York with a modern twist.
Located in the city’s Chelsea neighborhood—in the space once occupied by celebrity favorite Suede—Petite Disco blends sophistication with whimsy and avant-garde flair thanks to a French-inspired design by Garrett Singer Architecture + Design. The interiors celebrate the maximalism of Art Nouveau and the decadence of the 1970s disco era.
Luxurious velvet fabric tents the entire dancefloor, creating a sensuous, bohemian ambiance. Bespoke curved LED lighting suspends over curved banquettes cloaked in plush merlot velvet.
The grooviness of the ’70s is found in details—like custom disco chandeliers floating above each booth—throughout the two-story space. Artwork, curated by artist Domingo Zapata, adds a dynamic visual dimension.
The nightclub is led by New York hospitality entrepreneurs Thibaut Castet, Theliau Probst, Yura Shabetayev, Yosi Benvenisti, and Cole Bernard, who are known for Maison Close, Bounce Beach, and Talya Montauk.
“The team is thrilled to reintroduce the missing pieces of New York nightlife,” says Bernard and Benvenisti. “Our mission is to revitalize the scene with a fresh concept set in an iconic space. We’re bringing back the old-school New York nightlife vibe, with a strong emphasis on hospitality and a deep focus on emerging electronic music.”
