Across the globe, resorts are tapping prominent brands to take their onsite spaces to the next level.
Following the success of last year’s beach club takeover, Puente Romano Beach Resort has once again partnered with Italian fashion label FENDI. The second collaboration transforms La Plaza—the heart of the Málaga, Spain property—into a day-to-night destination outfitted with FENDI’s signature Pequin stripes in summery yellow and beige hues on cushions, sun umbrellas, and more. To round out the brand’s first-ever gastronomic experience, the restaurant menu includes options like the FENDI Lobster Club, the FENDI cheeseburger, and cocktails like the FENDI Baguette Paloma and the Peekaboo Margarita.
Stateside, the 27-acre Wequassett Resort & Golf Club in Harwich, Massachusetts enlisted American hertiage textile and wallcovering brand Sister Parish Design to refresh its eight poolside cabanas. (It’s an apt pairing, as both the Wequassett, built in 1925, and Sister Parish, established in 1933, have been in existence for more than 90 years.) The private lounge areas, which overlook the property’s pool as well as the serene waters of Cape Cod’s Pleasant Bay, evoke coastal chic elegance and comfort thanks to chaise lounges and curtains dressed in signature Mahalo and Burma Seaglass fabric designs in blue and white shades.
Hotel Cala di Volpe, meanwhile, teamed up with Dolce&Gabbana to kit out its pool area, which is home to the largest saltwater pool in Europe. Part of Marriott’s Luxury Collection, the Sardinia property now showcases brightly patterned upholstery, handpainted vases, and beach towels adorned with the iconic vibrancy of Dolce&Gabbana style. The bold, multicolor Carretto Siciliano print—a nod to rich, local tradition and craftmanship—dominates the newly integrated poolside décor.
Nearly 3,000 miles away, Dolce&Gabbana has also brought its aesthetic to the Cloud 22 rooftop pool club at Dubai’s Atlantis the Royal resort in partnership with luxury e-commerce platform Ounass. Here, the brand’s blue majolica pattern—which draws from the traditional Sicilian ceramic art form—is paired with natural materials, resulting in an inviting, Italian-inspired experience overlooking the Palm Islands and the Arabian Sea. Cloud 22 comprises an infinity pool, numerous floating beds, 11 luxury cabanas, and a two-story VIP cabana bedecked in the cool combination of deep blue and pure white tones.
