This winter, a former Coca-Cola factory in Indianapolis will be reborn as the Bottleworks Hotel. The 140-key boutique concept will anchor the $300 million mixed-use Bottleworks District development, which will herald the arrival of the Garage Food Hall and entertainment venues, at the site of what was once the world’s largest Coca-Cola bottling plant. The forthcoming food hall will feature more than 20 local culinary vendors and specialty retail across 38,000 square feet.
Locally based Ratio Architects is partnering with Milwaukee-based Eppstein Uhen Architects to accentuate the Art Deco style of the historic structure, while also integrating new construction. Terrazzo floors, plaster detailing, colorful ceramic tiles, Art Deco-inspired patterns, and brass will span the reimagined lobby and echo the site’s original splendor.
