Owned and managed by Pacific Hotel Management, the all-inclusive Clement Palo Alto is currently prepping to open this fall in California.
“The inspiration for this hotel came about when my wife and I took a getaway trip to the island of Bali,” says Clement Chen III, president of Pacific Hotel Management. “We stayed at a small hotel there that left a deep impression on us. We didn’t feel like we were customers at a hotel—we were able to just relax and enjoy our stay, like being at home, only better.”
Chen sought to create the same experience with the contemporary Clement Palo Alto, which will offer 23 650-square-foot one-bedroom suites. Spacious stone-clad bathrooms will include a soaking tub, a separate glass-enclosed shower, and a TV behind the mirror.
A guest experience manager will greet guests with a personal iPad containing all of their personal preferences for a curated experience.
San Francisco-based Brayton Hughes Design Studios is developing the site’s interiors, taking inspiration from a traditional manor.
“The decor is contemporary, elegant, and comfortable,” says firm principal Stanford Hughes. “It offers a warm, alluring ambiance on an intimate, residential scale. A palette of warm neutral colors and natural materials creates a soothing, cozy, and relaxing environment. It is elegant and minimal, yet highly livable.”
F&B outlets will include the Kitchen—an open kitchen-style eatery—the Dining Room, the outdoor Dining Terrace, and private cabanas positioned on a rooftop pool deck overlooking Stanford University.
