Hilton Worldwide has announced that Conrad Hotels & Resorts will launch Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort early next year.
“While Conrad boasts a portfolio of 24 luxury hotels in the Americas, Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort will be the first beachfront resort and residence for the brand in the region,” says John T.A. Vanderslice, global head of Conrad Hotels & Resorts.
Conceived by Michael Graves Architecture & Design, the 24-story, beachfront resort and residences will be renovated by West Palm Beach, Florida-based Garcia Stromberg, in collaboration with interior design consultant Julia Chi and Steven G Interiors.
The 290-room hotel will feature a nautically inspired aesthetic that references the area’s waterways and yachting industry with floor-to-ceiling windows and glass balconies overlooking the ocean.
The porte cochere will feature an abstract sculpture by Garcia Stromberg’s Peter Stromberg that nods to indigenous shoreline mangrove forests, while pendulum light fixtures will dot an expansive lobby.
Accommodations will boast white furnishings, natural elements—such as chestnut teak and leather—marble soaking tubs, rainfall showers, and a modern kitchenette.
Four F&B options include a Northern Mediterranean restaurant with an outdoor terrace, a Prohibition-style bar, a gourmet market, along with a pool bar and lounge.
Additional amenities will include a 4,000-square-foot spa and fitness center, an elevated pool deck, and nine meeting and event spaces.
