The St. Gregory Hotel in Washington, DC’s Dupont Circle neighborhood has unveiled a facelift from New York-based design firm Bill Rooney Studio. The new redesign marks the completion of the hotel’s conversion into a luxury lifestyle retreat. The renovation includes the transformation of the lobby as well as guestroom refreshes and the launch of a new outpost of Tredici Enoteca.
“The guestrooms were conceived to enhance relaxation,” says Rooney. “Every little detail has been thoughtfully-designed, from luxurious textures to sophisticated refinements, to make for an elevated guest experience. We want guests to feel like they are living in a cosmopolitan and elegant modern DC residence.”
Building upon the sophistication of the lobby, a mixture of heritage and midcentury modern-inspired elements populate the interiors, which possess a clean, rustic quality. A new penthouse level is equipped with balcony rooms and city views, while the new St. Gregory suite boasts a wraparound balcony, king bed, separate deluxe entertainment area, dining table, and a gas fireplace. Additional accommodations have been reconfigured to maximize exposure to natural light, ranging in size from 300 to 900 square feet. Fresh and modern, guestrooms are redesigned with crisp white walls, rustic wood flooring and accent walls, while woven geometric rugs, two-tone artwork, and navy accents punctuate each space.
