Atlanta-based real estate developer New City Properties and Philadelphia hospitality firm Method Co. have debuted FORTH Atlanta. The $150 million development comprises a 196-key luxury boutique hotel with 39 apartment-style rooms dedicated for extended stays.
With architecture and design spearheaded by Morris Adjmi Architects (MA) in collaboration with Stokes Architecture + Design and Method’s in-house studio, the 16-floor mixed-use building boasts a striking cast-in-place diagrid façade juxtaposed by a wall of windows—adding depth and an element of transparency and surprise. The tower, akin to a jewel box, is elegantly perched on a brick podium featuring contextual corbelling that artfully frames window openings.
Inside FORTH Atlanta
While the concrete exterior embodies modernity, the interior of FORTH exudes a warm and inviting aesthetic, imbued with the spirit of Southern hospitality.
Drawing from classic Americana traditions and contemporary European interiors, the design narrative embraces craftsmanship, incorporating handmade wooden furniture, layered fabrics and textures, vintage pieces, and curated objects that evoke a sense of belonging.
FORTH Atlanta features a series of distinct F&B concepts designed by Stokes and Method Studios, including lobby café and wine bar Bar Premio, rooftop cocktail lounge Moonlight, Italian steakhouse Il Premio, and poolside restaurant and bar Elektra.
FORTH Atlanta’s members-only club
The first of its kind in the city, FORTH Club is a members-only social club that includes a fitness and wellness center. It features a spa facility (available to hotel guests) bathed in natural light and adorned with white oak wall paneling, polished concrete, and maple flooring.
The club also boasts a members-only lounge, restaurant, and bar, along with a 2,300-square-foot outdoor pool deck equipped with lounge seating and cabanas for both members and guests.
“With MA, we are proud to bring in a design aesthetic that doesn’t yet exist in Atlanta,” says Jim Irwin, president of New City. “We wanted the spaces to feel comfortable yet elevated, merging Southern hospitality with a continental approach.”
