New York-based Glen & Company Architecture (Glen & Co.) has been tasked with the multimillion-dollar redesign of the Ames Boston Hotel.
The firm was selected for the project by real estate investment and development firm Gencom, which acquired the circa-1893 building following a new partnership with Gemstone Hotels and Resorts.
The historically inspired project will reimagine all of the 114-key hotel’s guestrooms and public spaces to meet modern brand standards, as well as to accommodate the demands of its urban location in the city’s downtown area.
“We are excited and honored to have been selected to design the renovations of the Ames Boston Hotel,” says Glen Coben, founder and owner of Glen & Co. “We look forward to bringing back the charm and history of the Ames Company through our design.”
