England-based design agency DesignLSM is set to unveil its refresh of the Heythrop Park hotel in Cotswolds this summer. Upgrades to the Grade II* property impact front of house and F&B areas, helping to better connect the original 18th-century grandeur with its contemporary extension. The renovation focuses on three principles: relaxation, exploration, and entertainment.
“We have worked closely with Warner Leisure Hotels from the very beginning—offering our strategic expertise to curate the proposition, creating and defining several new F&B concepts, as well designing a new narrative and an immersive interior design across all of the front of house rooms in this grand estate—influenced by and respecting [the property’s] historical roots, whilst bringing it forward into a new era of enjoyment and adventure,” says DesignLSM managing director Holly Hallam.
A key aspect of the renovations will be the Market Kitchen restaurant, where a soft color palette, upholstered furnishings detailed with biophilic patterns, and wall panels inspired by traditional kitchen gardens await guests. The Brassey Bar will also be outfitted in homage to railway history and former owner Thomas Brassey’s passion for engineering. Traditional industrial patterns—including beamed structures, metal details, rich leather banquettes, and intimate lighting—will characterize the venue as well. Each of the hotel’s public spaces will complement the property’s architectural language while embodying a fusion of contemporary and historic.
