The InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort is set to open this September as the brand’s latest luxury travel concept. The resort will be home to 81 luxe beach, lagoon, and overwater villas and residences that all frame panoramic views of the sea from private terraces.
The InterContinental Maldives will also be home to six F&B concepts, including the adults-only the Retreat, which will feature a private bar and infinity pool. The signature AVI Spa will also be housed onsite with six overwater treatment villas; the Planet Trekkers Kids Club rounds out the resort amenities.
Located in close proximity to the UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, the resort has also partnered with Manta Trust to nurture a safe habitat for local manta rays as part of the Maldivian Manta Ray Project.
