Dream Downtown has debuted its newly completed GuestHouse, a 2,500-square-foot duplex penthouse suite set atop the iconic hotel’s south tower.
Distinctive features include a garden terrace with a glass-bottom Jacuzzi, an oversized walk-in closet and dressing area, lighting, climate and entertainment technology, as well as exclusive amenities including a private barista and personal security guard.
The $1 million transformation overseen by New York-based Josh Held Design features modern, maximalist interiors that mix circular patterns and textures with clean lines to emulate the hotel’s porthole façade.
“Our team deconstructed and married various influences, including midcentury modern and classic designs, to create something edgy, bold, new, and unrivaled,” says firm president Josh Held. “The end result is a space that evokes fantasy and holds true to Dream’s contemporary styling.”
The main floor reveals a master bedroom with a California king bed and an adjacent walk-in closet. Inside the closet, Dream Downtown collaborated with celebrity hairstylists Franck Izquierdo, Leo Izquierdo, Aaron Grenia, and Chase Kusero of the hotel’s recently launched IGK Salon to design a custom vanity complete with champagne bar.
The living room features unique attributes including a charcoal plaster ceiling, a wall-to-wall, built-in bookcase that discretely unfolds into a custom murphy bed for additional sleeping accommodations, and a Savant home automation system that enables guests to control and enjoy music of their choice from any room in the suite via a dedicated mobile app.
Guests can ascend one of two spiral staircases to reach the suite’s private garden terrace. The outdoor space features views of the city and is decorated with topiaries, a fireplace, outdoor shower, and glass-bottom Jacuzzi that can be seen from the living room below.
