Lifestyle hospitality company Ennismore is partnering with investor Chagall B.V. and White House Development B.V. to debut Mama Shelter Amsterdam.
Slated to open in 2027, Mama Shelter Amsterdam will mark the brand’s first venture in the Netherlands.
The hotel will embody the Noord district’s eclectic personality, capturing the nightlife and creative energy of the bustling area.
Mama Shelter’s in-house design team will outfit the interiors with its signature exuberance—graffitied ceilings, unique ornaments, and playful décor inspired by the surrounding neighborhood.
The personality of Mama Shelter will continue into the 150 guestrooms, which will feature whimsical touches like cartoon masks.
Four distinctive F&B venues—an all-day dining restaurant, restaurant bar, terrace bar, and a rooftop bar—will be housed onsite, as well as 860 square feet of event spaces, including karaoke rooms and custom breakout containers for meetings.
Designed by local firm Paul de Ruiter Architects, the building combines sustainable design practices with nods to its industrial history.
Mama Shelter Amsterdam will join Ennismore’s other properties in the city: the Hoxton, Amsterdam and the Hoxton, Lloyd Amsterdam.
